Partial Lunar eclipse (Chandra Grahana) When : Friday March 14 2025 (Thursday night) Eclipse (Parva kala) : (More info on timings HERE) START : 1209 (AM) PEAK: 0158 (AM) END: 0347 (AM) What to do per our scriptures: Fast 6-8 hours prior start, till the end of eclipse is insisted as per our scriptures Take bath (punya snana) at the beginning of the eclipse During the punya kala perform nirmalya and devara puja Take bath at the end of the eclipse followed by pooja, naivedya and Parane Any daana sankalpa or punya karma done this period yields immense phala Eclipse time is considered most fruitful time for Japa, Parayana and Tarpana Wash clothes used/touched during eclipse before final bath or snaana Keep tulasi/dharbhe on pickles, condiments and dry food for purity What not to do per our scriptures: Keep any food ( except milk/yogurt) through the eclipse Eat,sleep, drink or use restrooms (except babies and sick) Impact of the Eclipse on Rashis This Eclipse will take place in ‘Uttara Phalguni Nakshatra’. It will effect the following Rashis : Simha, Kanya, Meena & Karkataka People who are born in the above Rashis and live in visible area (Austin is visible) are suggested to do remedies or Parihara.
